The LOFT is an alternative project based in the miami suburb of west Kendall, formed in early 2013. they've impressed listeners and critics alike WITH A BROAD RANGE OF INFLUENCES in their music INCLUDING THE beautiful ART OF THE MODERN BEAT-SMITH TO VINTAGE ANALOG INSTRUMENTATION. Genre bending alternative music that gives you Soul, Pop, Rock, and sounds reminiscent of decades like the eighties and nineties. Singer CRISTIAN Alejandro Gomez UTILIZES AN ATTRACTIVE STYLE and delivers it through wide RANGES which is then MIXED WITH PURE EMOTION; MACHIN'S was the mastermind behind the music and although INFATUATION is his final project contributing to The LOFT his contributions are still as apparent on this record than they ever were. Machin is found sitting in a room PROVIDING DEPTH, FEELING AND ATMOSPHERE. HE SETS THE TONE RHYTHMICALLY, sonically and really provides a foundation for the tracks, Rocci; The LOFT’s new collaborator for this project is taking Machin’s mantle and running with it'; creating vast soundscapes for the LOFT’s hits from INFATUATION; Glass Walls and LONELY BOY are Rocci at his peak, and cuts like INFATUATION in which he’s featured and Decline and that's when it happens; CRISTIAN BRINGS about HONEST WORDS, clever ideas, vivid imagery, charming wit and then proceeds to tell the sort of SOUL-WRENCHING STORIES we can all unfortunately relate to, it's sorrow, it's happiness, it's anything and everything we've ever felt, it's every past lover and any lost friend, it's moving and it's always presented beautifully. with a handfull of releases already out and available to the public, everyone patiently waits for the next release, which promises to be they're most unique record yet.

"Glass Walls," their first of many collaborations (currently available as a free download on SoundCloud), features lyrics that dig deep into those emotions you're afraid to talk about out loud, the kind of boldly heartfelt stuff that comes only from true experience”

(Miami New TImes) on ‘Glass Walls’

It's a bold and assured debut from a pairing we predict could go on to great heights from here on out. -

(COMPLEX UK) on ‘Anxxxious’

The smooth as silk vocals, an interchanging beat that perfectly syncs up with the lightning flashes and torrential rain, we truly believe that it will turn around for him.

EARMILK on ‘Rain’

Part Justin Timberlake, part The Weeknd, it’s sure to build anticipating for whatever is to follow.

Crack In The Road on ‘Rain’

It’s modern R&B, in it’s fully realized form, merging the immaculate production and composition with the, at times, stunning breathy vocals of Gomez. If the world was a fair place, The Loft would already be opening for Drake or Mr Ocean, and with the right team behind them, alongside more music as powerful as this, there’s no reason why they can’t be.

Crack In The Road ‘Anxxxious’

This new offering builds on their 90s nostalgia and super seductive sounds – it really is music full to the brim with sexual healing. Diving into fuzzing melancholic new depths (check those lyrics “Choke me, I don’t want to breathe. Love me, I’m sadder than I seem…”),

Room With A View definitely sets a new high as The LOFT’s most epic opus yet.

BEAT Magazine on ‘Room With A View’

Yet it takes nothing away from the fact this is one of the most impressive debuts of the year, and to the LOFT’s testament that they don’t sound like newcomers at all. It’s polished, slick, and profound (not to mention free to download), as great a calling card as any new act could ask for. -

PressPlayOk on ‘Anxxxious’

Despite the airiness, there is a contradicting weight brought in by passionate vocals. The atmospheric effects and the vocals trade paint and find some sort of equilibrium to balance one another out. There is much to come from this promising duo, so keep a good ear out!

EARMILK on ‘Lying & Deceiving’

the track delves into a silky R&B jam with woozy beats spearheaded by soft drums, crisp claps and simmering synths. Not to mention those foggy, plush vocals.

Pinboard BLOG on ‘Lying & Deceiving’

Florida duo ensuing their foggy R&B gaze. The songs pitched down vocals is a befitting ingredient to accompany their shadowy aesthetic. - Pinboard BLOG on ‘Demon Woman’

Miami based duo The Loft – comprised of Cristían Gomez and Jose Machin – veil themselves with an aura of mystery, yet it’s their vocal themes that emit the clearest image; drenching down-tempo synths with vocals succumbing to the struggles of a relationship. Sad, maybe. But with a warped drum beat pumping your heart back into action, it’s hard to feel down about much at all. -

NOTION Magazine on ‘Rain’

The track is pushed by something addictive, that is highly contagious, from the melodies to the drum work, to the vocal performance, the track will catch you instantly. As the cut progresses, we get a ton of reasons to become fans of The Loft. -

StupidDOPE on ‘Rain’

Sex appeal of Timberlake, slickness of The Weeknd, fragility of Frank Ocean. It's the debut LP from The LOFT -
